Although I've never been a AM fan, apparently Ally was onto something. Unfortunately, only until the age of 29 did I realize that with this in mind, the following should not be why you enter into a romantic relationship:
Self-Validation (a.k.a. only until someone loves me will I feel worthwhile both as a man/woman and human being)
Self "Saving" (a.k.a. I need someone to fix me)
Time Suck (a.k.a I have no life and need someone to make theirs mine)
Being said, establish yourself, and the rest will follow.
